Some residents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th Avenues and streets in between have recently received letters from the City of Canyon about the possibility of a rezoning that would change the zone of their property from residential to commercial. It has come to our attention that there are repercussions from a change of that nature that would negatively impact the ability to obtain financing for a home. In light of that, City staff will be recommending to the Planning and Zoning Commission at Monday's meeting that this proposal be abandoned.
